How do you make a wedding planner happy? Invite her to one of the most beautiful places on earth to talk about weddings for a few days!

This past weekend, the majestic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise graciously invited a select group of wedding producers from Calgary and Edmonton to experience their hotel and their incomparable hospitality. Thanks to Chad, Jennifer, and Todd in the Wedding Sales Department, we were treated equal to royalty.

My room had an incredible view and the staff ensured we felt special, leaving wedding magazines, a beautiful assortment of chocolates, and some lovely spa amenities in our rooms. We toured all of the event space in the hotel and viewed an assortment of guest rooms and suites.

We had lunch served from a pitchfork at the Brewster Barn + Dance Hall. The pastry chefs hosted us in their kitchen with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. They showed us an example of their talents and sent each of us home with our own adorable little wedding cake. Mike, our mountain adventure tour guide, took us on a walk around Lake Louise {well, we only went about half way}. Man, can this guy tell a story! He was definitely one of the highlights of the weekend.

They also served us the most amazing cocktails and we dined on exquisitely plated and delicious cuisine breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Should you have an interest in getting married in the Canadian Rocky Mountains; Lake Louise would be an ideal setting. Not only is it a spectacular site, the staff is open and willing to accommodate any request. You can even get married in the middle of the lake in canoes if you’d like!

Consider it! Your guests will thank you!
